The “Shoes & Leather 2008 - Vietnam” was successfully held from 24 - 26 September 2008 at “HIECC” - Ho Chi Minh City International Exhibition and Convention Centre. The displayed items include shoe machinery, tanning machinery, leather-goods machinery, leather, raw hides, shoe materials, chemical and accessories.

In the “Shoes & Leather 2008  Vietnam”, there are total of 122 international exhibitors from 21 countries and regions. They are Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, China, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hong Kong SAR, India, Indonesia, Italy, Iran, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Spain, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, & Vietnam; some of them also came together with their country pavilions. They showcased the new technologies and products in global shoes and leather industries. Within the 3-day exhibition period, 7,975 professional visitors were recorded. According to the survey, most of the exhibitors were pleased with the visitors' quality; they were interested in participating again in the forth-coming year, as believe that the exhibition can expand their businesses into worldwide status.
